Rev. Tracy Jessup - Interim Pastor

Tracy Jessup is the Assistant Dean of Students and Minister to the University at Gardner-Webb University. A graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a B.A. in Music, Tracy earned the M. Div. degree at Samford University's Beeson Divinity School. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Tracy also teaches in the undergraduate department of religious studies and enjoys the opportunity to serve the local church through interim pastorates, pulpit supply and preaching revival services. He and his wife, Teresa, have two children, Christian and Anna.

Dr. C. Oland Summers - Interim Music Director

Dr. Summers is Coordinator and Professor of Music Education at Gardner-Webb University. He is also a practicing licensed music teacher in the state of North Carolina. After serving churches In Indiana, Illinois and North Carolina a total of 31 years as their permanent part-time Minister Music he felt the Lord leading him Into Interim Music work. Over the past 15 years, he has served six churches as they searched for the Lord's person to fill the office of Full-time Minister of Music.

Dr. Summers' experience allows him to lead In the worship services and to direct all facets of the church program from children to senior adults. He also Is experienced In playing and leading handbells, and Is a clinician and soloist on string, wind and percussion Instruments. He Is a baritone soloist who has sung In Broadway musicals, operas, oratorios, revivals and church services.

Matt Alley

Matt Alley was called as Part-Time Youth Minister on February 17, 2008. Matt leads the youth program at Westview including Bible studies, mission activities, and recreation. He is a 2007 graduate of Clemson University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. While he was in college, he did his student teaching for grades 9-12 at Daniel High School in the Pickens County School District, SC. For two years he was basketball manager for the Clemson University Athletic Department. Since August, he has been pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree at Gardner-Webb University.
Cathy Key, Church Secretary

Cathy Key has been secretary at Westview since September 18, 2006. She has over 15 years experience as a Church Secretary. She holds an Associate of Science degree in Office Administration from the University of South Carolina in Aiken and an additional year toward an Office Administration major from USC, Columbia. Her husband, Wayne, has been a Baptist minister for the past 33 years and is the pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cherryville. They have three children -- Brian and his wife Laura, Rebecca and her husband Jason, and Ronald who is 16 and still at home. Brian and Laura have two children, Gracie and Chase. The Keys have lived in Cherryville for the past 14 years.

Joyce Sheaffer, Organist

Music and education have been a great part of Joyce's life. She graduated from High Point University with a BA and from ASU with a Master's degree. She taught in Cleveland County Schools for thirty-four years before retiring.

She served as interim organist and organist at New Hope Baptist Church in Earl and as interim music director at several churches. She sings with The Harmony of Hope, a ladies quintet.

She and her husband Cliff, a math teacher in Charlotte, reside at Earl.
